Can't grasp Reality!

Can't Grasp Reality - Ralston Dsouza 2012 (Perceived reality on Material object)
Socio-political satirist Ralston Dsouza's piece is a branch in his numerous works on the theme 'Difficulties in the perception of the Real'. Moving slightly away from the original masterpiece (For which the museum has requested the artist, and is confident the artist will comply) Ralston uses shadows as a parallel to perceptions and a grotesquely place object to signify the harsh reality. The interplay of the "dullness" of the shadow (perceived reality) against the "colourful" harshness of the real, provides the tension underlying the theme.
